InnovaCity 4.0
The InnovaCity project aims to find actionable solutions to the challenges of urban mobility using the Design Thinking methodology. In 2021, InnovaCity expands to a pan-European program, six European cities will each host a fully online workshop to address their most important mobility challenges. Mobility enthusiasts from municipalities, universities, renowned corporates & rising startups from across the world will form teams to solve these real-world urban mobility challenges using user-centered methods. To support the implementation of these actionable solutions the winning teams from each workshop will receive intensive coaching sessions from their potential first customers (hosting municipalities & local mobility corporations) and a prototyping crash course. InnovaCity will culminate at the ITS Global Congress in Hamburg in October 2021 where the winning teams will pitch their solutions on the world stage and win a chance to take their idea to the next phase. Six European cities will take part in the project in 2021, and a Hungarian city, Debrecen, will also join. The expected date of the workshop in Debrecen will be June 2021. This year is the third year that the project is implemented, the organizers expect a total of 150 participants for the program. In 2020, the project partners organized three workshops; more than 70 participants were able to work on the challenges posed by four cities (Munich, Barcelona, Helsinki and Tel Aviv).
