The founders of the Connected and Automated Mobility Cluster of Zala are AVL Aut\u00f3kut M\u00e9rn\u00f6ki Kft., Innogy Hung\u00e1ria Kft. – represented by ELM\u0170 Nyrt. -, Cisco Systems Magyarorsz\u00e1g Kft., Ericsson Magyarorsz\u00e1g Kft., Knorr-Bremse F\u00e9krendszert Kft. And T -Systems Magyarorsz\u00e1g Zrt. At the founding meeting of the cluster on Wednesday, Zolt\u00e1n Kasz\u00e1s, CEO of T-Systems Hungary, was elected chairman. According to the announcement, the cluster intends to contribute to the development of a test track in the automotive industry in Zalaegerszeg and provides an innovation cooperation framework for the development of the necessary products.<\/p>\n
The Zalaegerszeg automotive proving ground, which is also unique in Europe and is suitable for testing self-driving vehicles, is being built on a 250-hectare area in Zalaegerszeg with a state investment of HUF 42 billion. The test track, which will also be created in coordination with the 5G IT network to be developed around the city, will, directly and indirectly, create about 350 new engineering jobs.<\/p>\n
According to an earlier announcement by the Ministry of Economy, the first phase of the investment will include the construction of a zone for brake testing and vehicle handling, as well as a zone for the testing of autonomous vehicles. In addition, the necessary communication technology and a part of the service facilities will be built.<\/p>\n
In the second phase, from 2018, an oval track suitable for high-speed conditions will be built, vehicle dynamics test elements will be further developed and new service buildings will be created. The full investment is scheduled for completion by the end of 2019.<\/p>\n
